## Three Perfect Days of Dining in and Around the U.S. Open Grounds

We have all your meals and snacks figured out for you in this suggested dining and drinking itinerary, covering options around the tennis stadium grounds and nearby neighborhoods. Specific hours for each U.S. Open vendor aren’t currently available, so check the website and app closer to the event date before you check them out.

### Day 1

#### Breakfast

Head to Flushing’s Chinatown and stop by the little cash-only takeout window at **Eight Jane**, serving affordable portable jianbing (Chinese-style morning crepes) with fillings like beef, scallions, youtiao (a Chinese fried doughnut), and more.

#### Lunch

Once you’re inside the grounds, get yourself a fancy midday meal. Snag restaurateur Simon Kim’s famous chicken nuggets with optional caviar at **Coqodaq**.

#### Happy hour

Time for a drink, so start your U.S. Open experience with the ever-iconic Honey Deuce cocktail from one of the many **Grey Goose bars** around the grounds. Pair it with a hot dog from **Frank & Fries**.

#### Dinner

Social media influencer Henry Laporte is bringing his famous French dip from his West Village restaurant (which usually has a major line) to the U.S. Open. **Salt Hank’s** hefty sandwich is built with shaved dry-aged prime rib, Provolone cheese, horseradish aioli, and caramelized onions, paired with a cup of au jus.

#### Dessert

**Van Leeuwen**, the ever-growing New York ice cream company, will be offering up scoops of its frozen sweets in cones, cups, and milkshakes, plus its annual exclusive flavor - the honeycomb fudge slam, where the sweet cream ice cream is studded with honeycomb candies and fudge swirls.

#### Late-night

Go back into Flushing and grab some hearty Chinese noodles at standby restaurant **Yunnan Noodle House**, which is thankfully open 24/7. You can build your own soup with a choice of noodles (rice, sweet potato, or Shanghai) and add-ins from bok choy to pork-fish balls.

### Day 2

#### Breakfast

Steamed rolls make for a great morning meal, so stop by **Fu Yuan**, the cash-only Chinese takeout window in Flushing. Peanut butter sauce is a winner, as well as the shrimp-watercress and ham-egg.

#### Lunch

New York summers are for lobster rolls, especially ones from **Red Hook Lobster Pound**, the Brooklyn seafood restaurant. In addition to the ones available in the Connecticut and Maine styles, there is also a lobster BLT, fish and chips, fish sandwiches, lobster fries, shrimp citrus salad, and more.

#### Happy hour

Tequila brand Dobel brought back José Andrés’s Mexican restaurant **Oyamel** for its U.S. Open bar. Therefore, pair the Ace Paloma, a tequila cocktail with grapefruit soda and a black salt rim, with pulled pork nachos.

#### Dinner

Montclair, New Jersey restaurant **Pasta Ramen**, from chef Robbie Felice, is coming back to the U.S. Open with its wafu Italian specialties, which means Japanese-Italian dishes like the spicy tuna crispy rice.

#### Dessert

The U.S. Open outpost of **Carnegie Deli**, the classic New York restaurant, is the best for out-of-towners who don’t have the energy to head into Manhattan for pastrami sandwiches. Look out for those huge black-and-white cookies and rye chocolate chip cookies.

#### Late-night

Bop over to Corona and get some amazing meaty Oaxacan-style tlayudas at Mexican food cart **Tlayuda Oaxaqueña Sr San Pablo**.

### Day 3

#### Breakfast

When in Queens, you *have* to get some dim sum. Look no further than **Asian Jewels Seafood & Dim Sum**, a Cantonese dim sum palace with roaming carts. Get some rice noodle rolls, minced beef balls, and soups.

#### Lunch

Along with Coqodaq, Simon Kim is debuting a new gimbap stand, **Kimbop**. Expect the larger Korean seaweed-wrapped rice rolls with prime beef bulgogi or what they’re calling the “Original Vegetable,” as well as a take with jambon beurre and something called “Steph’s Cookie.”

#### Happy hour

Luxury French wine brand **Moët & Chandon** is whipping up a new drink in a bright tennis-ball-neon-green-colored opaque plastic wine glass at the IHG Racquet Bar. The Watermelon Slice is made with watermelon juice, elderflower liqueur, and lime, with a watermelon wedge.

#### Dinner

Globally acclaimed chef Enrique Olvera is bringing his Mexican restaurant **Cosme** to the U.S. Open for the first time, with duck carnitas flautas with mole and other dishes; it’s a must-stop.

#### Dessert

Keep it easy and simple with some gelato from **Via Roma Gelateria**.

#### Late-night

Hop on the 7 train for a Jackson Heights trek out to **Birria-Landia**. The New York birria truck mini-chain’s neighborhood outpost serves up beefy corn-tortilla tacos.
