Papa Johns ranks the lowest among the top five domestic pizza chains across five key customer metrics, according to new data from YouGov. The chain's widest gap is in value perception, where its score of 8.4 falls below the industry average of 14.
CEO Todd Penegor recently dismissed media speculation about a potential sale, emphasizing the company's commitment to its ongoing turnaround strategy. The YouGov data, covering quality, satisfaction, and value, shows significant room for improvement despite recent progress. The chain's overall index score has risen nearly five points in the past year.

YouGov's data compares Papa Johns against its major competitors. The chain's narrowest gap is in the quality metric, where it trails the category benchmark by just 0.7 points.

Dunkin' Expands Delivery via Walmart
Walmart has struck a deal with Inspire Brands, the owner of Dunkin', to provide delivery from the coffee and doughnut chain's locations. The service will begin with Dunkin' shops situated inside Walmart stores before expanding to most of the brand's 10,000 U.S. Outlets.
The retail giant represents a new competitor in restaurant delivery, use its physical footprint. Ninety percent of the U.S. Population lives within ten miles of a Walmart. Last year, Walmart initiated a similar partnership, delivering sandwiches from Subway locations inside its stores.
Chick-fil-A's Hunger Action Month
Chick-fil-A is launching a major campaign for Hunger Action Month this September. The chain plans to donate up to $1 million to Feeding America partner food banks by matching funds raised through local fundraisers in more than 40 U.S. Markets.
The company also expects to open 15 new restaurants throughout the month. For each opening, it will donate $25,000 to a local Feeding America partner. On September 30, Chick-fil-A will host a Shared Table Experience in New York City to raise awareness about hunger.
The Shared Table program was formalized in 2012. It allows local owner-operators to donate surplus food to hunger relief organizations. Since it began, the program has contributed to the creation of more than 50 million meals.
