The Outside Lands music festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park has proven once again that the combination of music and local food is a winning formula. The annual three-day event drew a sold-out crowd of 75,000 visitors per day, with over 100 food vendors keeping the crowds fed.
Tickets for the festival ranged from $250 for a single-day pass to $510 for a three-day pass, with even higher prices for VIP tickets. However, for those invested in seeing plenty of musical acts and local restaurants in one place, Outside Lands delivers.
The festival featured big music acts, including headliners Charli XCX, The Strokes, and Rüfüs Du Soul. However, the real stars of the show were the local food vendors, who offered a diverse range of dishes to suit every taste and budget.
## Best Dishes at Outside Lands 2026
Eater SF's editor Dianne de Guzman and freelance photographer Patricia Chang sampled a range of dishes throughout the weekend, and here are some of their favorites.
| Dish | Price | | --- | --- | | La Gringa from Reem's | $25 | | Dac Biet Burger from Smish Smash | $26 | | Uni Burger from Smish Smash | $60 | | Roasted Hainan Chicken Rice from Dabao Singapore | $25 | | Pizza Bagel from Wise Sons x Outta Sight Pizza | $16 | | Cacio e Pepe Fries from Wise Sons x Outta Sight Pizza | $13 | | Hush Puppy Corn Dog from Sandy's Muffulettas | $16 | | Chashao Roast Pork Steam Bao from Piglet & Co. | $20 |
La Gringa, the Arab-style lamb quesabirria flatbread wrap with consomé from Reem's, was a hit with the Eater SF team. The bright, pickled onions and greens held up nicely against the rich shredded lamb and cheese.
The dac biet burger from Smish Smash was another favorite, with the sprouts and jalapeño cutting through the meatiness of the crisp smash burger patty and cheese. The pho aioli really pulled it together with just a touch of lime.
However, not all of the dishes were a hit. Patricia Chang had mixed feelings about the uni burger from Smish Smash, feeling that the saltiness of the burger might have distracted from the delicate uni.
The roasted five-spice boneless chicken with fragrant rice from Dabao Singapore was a hit for Patricia on Sunday, with the dish coming with cucumber and a duo of ginger-scallion sauce and calamansi chile sauce.
The pizza bagel from Wise Sons x Outta Sight Pizza was a perfect bite for the festival surroundings, with the bagel dusted in cheese and the fresh basil giving it extra oomph.
The hush puppy corn dog from Sandy's Muffulettas was another festival-only bite that stole the show, with the fried exterior studded with pieces of corn and jalapeño.
The chashao-marinated pork from Piglet & Co. was another favorite, with the pork not overpowering the bao at all and the namasu cabbage slaw and soft, pillowy bao keeping it in balance.
Overall, the Outside Lands festival proved once again that the combination of music and local food is a winning formula, with a diverse range of dishes to suit every taste and budget.
